Who We Are
Huginn is an AI-powered whitetail deer hunting intelligence platform operated by Huginn Advisory Group LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Huginn platform at app.huginnhunt.com and huginnhunt.com.

Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account
- Hunting property information — property name, location, terrain notes, food sources, and other intel you enter during onboarding
- Sighting data — dates, times, locations, weather conditions, deer behavior, and notes you log
- Trail camera photos — images you upload of deer on your property
- Buck profiles — names, descriptions, and observations about individual bucks you track
- Property markers — GPS coordinates of stands, scrapes, rubs, bedding areas, and camera locations you place on your map
Information collected automatically:
- GPS location — only when you explicitly use the GPS features to log a field observation or place a pin. We do not track your location continuously.
- Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, and general usage patterns for the purpose of improving the app
- Log data — error logs and performance data to identify and fix bugs
Information we do not collect:
- We do not collect payment information directly — payment processing is handled by third party providers
- We do not sell your data to advertisers
- We do not share your hunting property data with other users without your explicit permission
How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Operate the Huginn platform and deliver hunting intelligence features
- Generate AI-powered insights, buck identification suggestions, and hunt recommendations specific to your property
- Send transactional emails — account confirmations, beta invitations, and product updates
- Improve the accuracy of AI buck identification over time using anonymized correction data
- Diagnose bugs and improve platform performance
We do not use your information to:
- Serve advertisements
- Build profiles for sale to third parties
- Share your property location or hunting data with any third party without your consent
Trail Camera Photos and AI Processing
When you upload a trail camera photo, it is:
- Stored securely in our cloud storage (Supabase)
- Sent to Anthropic's Claude API for AI-powered buck identification analysis
- Retained in your account until you delete it or close your account
Anthropic processes images according to their own privacy policy available at anthropic.com/privacy. We send only the image and necessary context — we do not send personally identifiable information to Anthropic as part of this process.
Photos are compressed client-side before upload to reduce file size. Original full-resolution images are not retained by Huginn.
Location Data
Huginn uses location data in two ways:
- Property center location — you set this manually during onboarding. It is stored as a GPS coordinate associated with your property.
- Field observation GPS — when you log a field observation and grant location permission, your device GPS is used to record where the sighting occurred. This is a one-time capture per sighting, not continuous tracking.
We do not track your real-time location. We do not share your property location with other users or third parties.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on Supabase, a PostgreSQL-based cloud database platform with row-level security enabled. This means your data is isolated from other users — no other Huginn user can access your property data.
We use industry-standard security practices including:
- Encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all data transmission
- Row-level security policies on all database tables
- Server-side API key management — your Anthropic and Mapbox credentials are never exposed client-side
No system is perfectly secure. If you believe your account has been compromised contact us immediately at hello@huginnhunt.com.
Data Retention
- Active accounts — your data is retained as long as your account is active
- Deleted pins and markers — archived for 30 days then permanently deleted (Pro tier: retained indefinitely until you delete)
- Sightings linked to deleted pins — retained with the pin's last known location preserved for historical analysis
- Waitlist emails — retained until you request removal or the waitlist closes
- Account deletion — upon request we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days. Email hello@huginnhunt.com to request deletion.

Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — request correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion — request deletion of your account and data
- Export — request an export of your sighting and property data (Pro tier)
- Opt out — unsubscribe from non-transactional emails at any time

Children's Privacy
Huginn is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information contact us at hello@huginnhunt.com.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the platform evolves. When we make material changes we will notify registered users by email and update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Huginn after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
