The story behind Huginn
Huginn (pronounced HOO-gin) comes from Norse mythology. In the old stories, Odin — the Allfather — kept two ravens who flew across the world each day and returned to whisper what they had seen. One was Huginn, whose name means Thought. The other was Muninn — Memory.
Every morning they left. Every evening they returned with intelligence.
That is exactly what this platform is built to do. Fly across your property. Gather everything. Come back smarter.
The data you collect between seasons is the edge you carry into them. Huginn makes sure none of it gets lost.
I am a hunter, a father, and a builder. I have spent years chasing whitetail across the Midwest — logging observations in notebooks, pulling cards from trail cameras, and trying to connect the dots in my head between all the data I was collecting.
There had to be a better way.
I wanted a platform that treated hunting like the intelligent, data-driven pursuit it actually is. Something that remembered everything, found the patterns I was missing, and helped me make smarter decisions in the stand. I looked around and nothing existed that did what I needed.
So I built it.
That's Odin next to me. My black lab. Since he was a puppy he has been by my side on every whitetail hunt — every drag, every late night, every moment in the field that made this worth building. When it came time to name the platform, the answer was already sitting at my feet — Odin, the Allfather, whose ravens flew the world each day gathering intelligence. That felt right.
Huginn is built for the hunter who takes it seriously. Who scouts in the off-season. Who watches patterns. Who wants to know more and hunt smarter. Whether you run one camera or twenty, hunt one property or several — Huginn turns your data into your edge.
